The 'we' at The Loved One are Antonia Akai-Casuccio and Scott Casuccio. The idea for The Loved One was born a few years ago when Antonia, shopping for her own wedding, found herself underwhelmed and uninspired by the accessory and apparel options available. She envisioned a shop devoted to beautiful, bespoke pieces for like-minded women looking for something a little different. After discovering a few select designers whose work they were passionate about, Antonia and Scott poured their hearts into creating a unique online experience to showcase their thoughtfully curated collection. The Loved One was officially launched on Valentine's Day, 2012. 

In 2015, after fulfilling a few custom requests, Antonia began designing and making bespoke pieces for her brides. Since then, Antonia's creations have been the cornerstone and heart of The Loved One. In 2024, we added gowns and separates to our offering. As with our accessories, all garments are made by hand in Toronto with exacting care, using exquisite fabrications, many of them eco-friendly. Couture detailing like French seams, hand-finished button holes and hand-stitched lace are featured throughout.

With sustainability in mind, all pieces are made to order and cut strategically to reduce fabric waste.
